Shades of OrangeHello Friends,
My last feature for the month of September is the color Orange. No other color sparks more controversy than this one. Strong positive or negative feelings are associated with the color Orange, Either you'll love it or you'll hate it! This color is fun and flamboyant and radiates warmth and energy. But a word of warning, Orange stimulates the appetite which makes it a terrible choice for your kitchen if you are dieting!

Orange is a warm and inviting color. Because it's both physically and mentally stimulating, it gets people thinking and talking!

I always associate the color Orange with my favorite season..Fall/Autumn. I love nothing more than seeing the leaves change from green to orange, carving pumpkins and decorating in Orange and Black for Halloween...which of course is my favorite holiday!!!

Why we decline submissions sometimesThis is just a reminder that while we do not screen manip submissions for quality, we do have some occassions where deviations are declined:
Wrong Folder:The reason we do not simply accept submissions going to the wrong folder and correct it afterwards (which we could do technically) is that different folders have different submission limits and those limits are in place for a reason. If we were to accept wrong-folder submissions for example the 1 per week limit could be circumvented by just submitting the manip to another folder with 2 per day limit and having us admins push it over not realizing the limit was already reached. Hello my friends and watchers

In my last journal, I told you all that my family and I were getting ready to evacuate for Hurricane Issac. We ended up checking into a pet friendly hotel for a few days. We lost power our first night there! When I reserved our room, I asked if they had a back up generator..they told me they did...They LIED!!! Myself and everyone else staying at that Hotel were less than amused! Anyway, Things got a little rough down here but I am happy to report that my family and I escaped the hurricane virtually unscathed. Aside from a few pieces of siding that came off our home and being in the dark for 3 days, we were one of the lucky ones! For others, recovering will take quite some time..

With that said, I would like to move on to Part 2 of my "Seeing Red" feature...I hope you enjoy!

Red is hot. From passionate love to violence and warfare. Red is Cupid and the Devil. It's the hottest of the warm colors and can also have a physical effect, increasing the rate of respiration and even raising blood pressure!
