This little church was once called St. Luke Baptist Church but nicknamed Little Zion.It was built by and for the African American slaves in 1883.The land was once part of the Cleona Plantation.It became abandoned in the early part of 1970.The pastor retired and the people started attending other local churches.
I went back there not long ago to take more photos and was very sad to see that this old church had completely collapsed! I'm just grateful that I was able to photograph it a few times while it was still standing.

I happen to like that kind of subject matter. Now there is a permanent record of that old church, that will remain long after It's gone, and forgotten..
I guess It's a demonstration of my dark romantic side.

I swear, this looks like something in Assassins Creed 3 and that's set in Colonial Boston, New York, and the environs lol
